The Built Environment

Our courses are continually developing their content to reflect today's industry needs and challenge our students to be truly innovative.

We have several research-active staff with established track records that are in a very strong position to complement our existing expertise. All of our staff take the education and support of our students very seriously and are there to offer help at every step of the way.

Facilities within the department are excellent. Our construction laboratory offers London's only Tensometer, used for measuring material strength.  Our Architecture Studio enjoys inspirational views of many of London's landmark buildings and student's design work is focused on a studio culture. They learn to draw by hand as well as using 2D and 3D digital media.

Qualifications from the areas of property and surveying can lead to a wide range of careers. Many of our past and current students hold key positions in their organisations and professional bodies, often as senior managers and business owners.
