Cranfield's Applied Bioinformatics MSc will provide you with the knowledge and skills that directly meet the requirements of employers in the sector.
The course will equip you with the computational understanding and expertise needed to meet growing international requirement to archive, analyze and interpret data collected from biological experiments.
This bespoke MSc has allowed our graduates to move into jobs in prestigious institutions, including the Sanger Institute and European Bioinformatics Institute. While some have entered bioinformatics companies such as PubGene and Tessella, others have chosen to move onto PhDs at top universities.
Entry Requirements:
A good honours degree from a UK university, or equivalent, in a life science, a natural science or medical subject covering molecular biology. In certain cases a blend of qualifications, motivation and experience may be acceptable.
English language requirements - Our normal minimum requirement is a TOEFL score of 580 (paper test) or 237 (computer test), essay rating 4.5 or 92 (Internet test), all skills 19 or an IELTS 6.5 with 6.0 for writing, a TOEIC overall score of 830, or a Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English grade C or Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English grade C, although a number of our programmes require higher scores.
